Bernice Kruse (nee Eggelston)

Bernice Kruse, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, passed away peacefully on December 13,2024, in Depew, NY, after a long and courageous battle with Covid.

She was the cherished wife of Kenneth Kruse, a partnership filled with love and devotion. As a devoted mother, Bernice embraced her role with warmth and grace, nurturing her children Tammy Gawron and Robert (Charlotte) Gawron Jr., as well as honoring the memory of her late son, Troy (Dawn) DePronio. Her heart swelled with pride for her cherished grandson, Evan (Jamie) DePronio, who filled her life with joy and laughter.

Bernice’s nurturing spirit extended to her siblings, Linda (late Wade) Darwin and Floyd (Judith) Eggelston, with whom she shared countless memories and heartfelt moments. She is also survived by beloved nieces and nephews who will remember her kindness and warmth.

The family invites friends to join them in celebrating Bernice’s remarkable life on Saturday from 4 PM to 7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that contributions may be made to the Erie County SPCA, reflecting Bernice's deep love for animals.

Bernice will be dearly missed, forever remembered, and continuously loved by all whose lives she touched.
