With heavy hearts, we gather to honor the life of Carol J. Gingerich, a cherished resident of East Aurora, NY, who peacefully passed away at the age of 87, reuniting with her Savior. Carol's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who her deeply.
For 64 beautiful years, Carol was a devoted wife to the late Norman Gingerich, sharing a bond that exemplified love and companionship. Together, they built a family filled with warmth, joy, and countless cherished memories. Carol leaves behind her beloved children, Rodney (Karen) and Robert (Janet) Gingerich, along with her treasured daughter, Susan (James) Pundt. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to seven grandchildren—Shawn (Alyssa), Scott (Megan), Craig (Alexandra), and Jake (Amanda) Gingerich, Bobbie Lee (Shane) Bixby, Erica (Rick) Forget, and Michael (Nina) Pundt—and a joyful great-grandmother to 18 great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.
Born into a nurturing family, Carol is survived by her dear siblings: Alan (Carolyn), George (the late Lori), Arthur (Barbara) Hawley, Marguerite (Marvin) Ellis, and Lois (Jack) Lawrence, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy throughout her life. She is reunited in peace with her beloved brothers Harry (Eleanor), Clayton (late Carolyn), and Edward (late Judith) Hawley, as well as her sister Ruth (Bill) Boyd, who have all preceded her in passing.
An active member of The Tabernacle Church, Carol dedicated her time and passion to various functions and activities alongside Norm. They joyfully ran their Shaklee business together, consistently striving to help others in any way they could.
On Saturday, December 14th, family and friends gathered to celebrate Carol's remarkable legacy at Crossroads Christian Church, beginning with a gathering from 2-3 PM, followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to Charlotte House, 4316 Rt 98, PO Box 123, North Java, NY 14113.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to The Aurora Senior Center, where Carol cherished spending time with friends and received exceptional care from their compassionate staff. They also express appreciation to Orchard Heights for the wonderful care Carol received and the joyful moments she shared with the staff and fellow residents, as well as to Charlotte House, where Carol was embraced in loving and compassionate care during her final days.
