Cecilia M. Stevens

Cecilia M. Stevens, of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was the cherished wife of the late Donald W. "Beav" Stevens and a devoted mother to her four children: Susan (Frank) Piccione, David (Lisa) Stevens, Mark (Kim) Stevens, and Janet (Karl) Mackowiak.

Cecilia was a proud grandmother, taking immense joy in her grandchildren: Michael (Jessica) Strychalski, Cassie Piccione, Kristina (Cole) Anger, Matthew Stevens, Emily (Greg) Nelson, Julie Taylor, Christie (Andrew) Hessler, Kevin Stevens, Rachel Mackowiak, Jacob Mackowiak, Trevor Stevens, and Austin Stevens. She also delighted in being a great grandmother to Noah, Jackson, Carson, Brandon, Cole, Leo, Giovanni, Nico, Marli, and a soon-to-arrive great-grandson. Her family was her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Born to the late Theodore and Cecelia Short, and as a daughter-in-law of the late Daniel and Virginia Stevens, Cecilia's family extended far and wide, filled with loving sisters-in-law and adoring nieces and nephews. In addition to her human family, Cecilia was also a loving mother to many fur babies, showcasing her compassion and nurturing spirit.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday from 3-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals located at 5090 Transit Rd., Depew, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at St. Martha Parish at 12:00 PM, where all are welcome to assemble at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Erie County SPCA in honor of Cecilia’s love for animals.

Cecilia's warmth, love, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
