February 27, 2018; of Lancaster, NY; age 87; Loving companion and best friend of 22 years to RoseMarie Janik. Son of the late Charles and Hilda (nee Nagy) Guenther. Brother of Bob (Sandy) Guenther, Jane Trykowski, Hilda Dylag, Gail (Richard) Nunz and the late Donald, Jack and Tommy Guenther. Brother-in-law of Jimmy (Doris) and Danny (Diane) Lorka. Very helpful good friend and neighbor of Barb (Cleve) Hales, Lottie Sue Koszela, Brian Richardson, Lottie (Stan, Sr. ) Pulaski, Richard Penner, Rick Penner, Joy Kowal and the late Lottie Jaczewski. Father of Sandy (Larry) Colling, Chuck (Joy) Guenther and Lori (Roger) Baranyi. Grandfather of Tracy, Riley and Ryan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday from 2-7 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Prior to retiring at the age of 72, Charlie worked for Pine Hill and Rammer Companies in Lancaster, was a member of the NRA, Lancaster Senior Center, a regular Monday Morning Bingo player in Batavia and Thursdays at the Lancaster Senior Center. Charlie also loved the inclusive vacations in Jamaica, Bahamas, Las Vegas, one day bus trips, hunting,fishing and a Marine Corps veteran.
