August 22, 2016 age 90 of Buffalo, NY. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis J. (nee Szymanski) Ceranski; dearest father of Donna (late Anthony) Lobdell, Judith (George) Danovskis and Clare (James) Skura; dear grandfather of Jessica (Shawn) Jensen, Stephanie (Brock) Barry, James D. Skura (Elizabeth Fox), Daniel Danovskis and John Danovskis; brother of the late Eugene (late Eleanor) Ceranski; uncle of Eugene (late Patricia) Ceranski and Mariella Ceranski. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends Thursday 4-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Queen of Martyrs Church 180 George Urban Blvd. at 9 AM. (Please assemble at Church). Mr. Ceranski served in WW II with the US Navy, member of Adam Plewacki Post #799 and a Lieutenant Civil Defense of Cheektowaga (Auxiliary Police). Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Hospice Wells House at Beechwood Home. Expressions of sympathy at www.sliwinskifuneralhome.com
