It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Charles Kroneiss, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who left us peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Buffalo, NY. David spent his final moments surrounded by love, with his faithful chocolate lab, Sophie, by his side.
Born to the late Frank and Laura Kroneiss, David grew up embodying the values of kindness and compassion instilled in him by his family. He is deeply mourned by his dear siblings: Nancy (Jose) Garcia, Gail (Jack) LoBuglio, Kevin (Diane) Kroneiss, and Michael (Geraldine) Kroneiss, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews, including Julie (Paul) Walker, Caitlin (Robert) Harms, Rachael, and Michael Kroneiss. His legacy continues to shine through his great niece and nephews, whom he adored.
Known for his wonderful sense of humor, David never met a stranger and shared an extraordinary bond with many longtime friends, including his "brother," Thomas Selzer, and his lifelong friend, Mary Herman Church. These friendships were a testament to his warmth and loyalty, qualities that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
An animal lover with a huge heart, David shared his life with many cats and dogs who he loved dearly.
A proud member of the United States Army, David served during the Vietnam War with honor and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of courage and commitment.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate David's life during a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. Michael's Church, located at 651 Washington Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, at 10:00 AM. We kindly ask all to assemble at the church as we come together to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Sloan Comfort Care Home, reflecting David's spirit of giving and care for others.
