Beloved husband of 65 years to Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Rhow) Burns; dearest father of Frank (Susan) Burns, Ronald (Kathleen) Burns, William (fiancé Cheryl) Burns and Susan (Kevin) Barrett; dear grandfather of William Burns, Keith (Jennifer) Burns, Ryan Burns, Jennifer (Matt) Shilling, Stacey Burns, Whitney Burns, Aaron Burns, Nicole (Nick) Demetriou, David Morris, Kristy Barrett, Kelly (Brendan) Stone and 12 great grandchildren; son of the late Cornelius and Gertrude Irene (nee Walters) Burns; brother of the late Neil (late Florence), late Thomas (late Carol), late Jerry (Doris), late Robert (Barbara), late Richard, late Patrick and the late Kay Ann Burns; also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 2nd at Our Lady Help of Christians Church (Genesee St at Union Rd.) at 9:30 AM. Mr. Burns was a veteran of the Korean War, retired president of Burns Barber Shops, season ticket holder for the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, member of the Leonard Post, American Legion (Belfast), Korean War Veterans Assoc., U-Crest Little League, St. Barnabas Hockey and the Niagara Frontier Hockey Assoc.
