March 3, 2017; of Depew, NY; Beloved husband of Joyce E. (nee Manson) Brotz. Dearest father of Scott (Michiyo), Tonia and Mark (Amy) Brotz. Dear grandfather of Jesse, Nicholas and the late Anthony. Brother of Bernice Brotz, Robert (Jane) Brotz, Barbara (Jacob) Debski and Betty (George) Roth. Also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.). Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Edward was an Air Force veteran, retired Patrolman and Range Officer of the Cheektowaga Police Department, member of W.A.R.P., member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2692 and an exempt member of the Cayuga Hose #3. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, contributions may be made to either the American Diabetes Association of the American Kidney Foundation.
