KOWALSKI – Edward T. “ED-KO”
October 3, 2019 of Cheektowaga, NY peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Joan (nee Lillie) Kowalski; loving father of Janice Kowalski-Kelly and Joanne (David) Eberth; devoted grandfather of Kristen (Kerry) Fredrich, Stephen Kelly (Julia Schuler), Edward Eberth and Jenna Eberth; devoted friend of Charleen Rogala; son of the late Edward and Tillie (nee Kochanowski) Kowalski; brother of Paul (Barbara) Kowalski also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday October 8th from 3-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM and from Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel at 10 AM. Entombment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Mr. Kowalski served in the US Air Force, was a member of Francis J. Donovan Post 1626 American Legion, Hank Nowak Amvets Post #45 and an exempt member of U-Crest Fire District #4. Ed loved gardening and photography “known as Ed-Ko” and his slogan was “The best man at your wedding is your photographer”. He also was a longtime employee at Westinghouse and a retiree of the County of Erie Highway Department, after his retirement, Ed worked part time for Cheektowaga Central School System and was a golf starter at Beaver Island State Park.
