Born February 23, 1931, died September 23, 2016 a lifelong Depew, NY resident. Beloved mother of Ellen (Larry) Allison, Cynthia (Clarence) Jackson, Lou Ann Bajdas, Louis (Lorraine) Post, Beth (late Alan) Hagemeyer and Martin (Sandy) Post; dear grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; loving daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ellen Martin Sr.; sister of Jean (late Michael) Cloen, and her late siblings Mathew Martin, Mary (Joseph) Maduri and Frank Martin Jr.; former spouse of Louis F. Post Sr.; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Sunday (Today) 5-8 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish (formerly St. James Church) 496 Terrace Blvd., Depew at 11 AM. Eleanor was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of Big Wheels Bike and Lederhosen Club, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, St. James Parish Bingo and the Depew VFW. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to WNYPBN – Camera Program in memory of Andri Skolikas-Barnhardt, or Weinberg Campus – Stovroff Tower- Day Center activities program.
