October 31, 2015 at the age of 88 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of 71 years to Noreen A. (nee Broad) Bauer; dearest father of Diann (Joseph) Wozniak, Deborah (James) Borow and Eileen (Noel) Wehrfritz; dear grandfather of seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother of the late Dorothy (late John) Hollander; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM and from Queen of Martyrs Church at 11 AM. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Mr. Bauer was an Army veteran of WW II, owner of Bauer’s Appliance Repair, member of Knights of Columbus Fr. Justin Council, a Trustee, Eucharistic Minister, Usher, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Seniors at Queen of Martyrs. Flowers gratefully declined.
