April 17, 2017; of Lancaster, NY; Beloved wife of 61 years to William Place. Dearest mother of Deborah (Wayne, Sr.) Mathews and Jeffrey Place. Dear grandmother of Wayne Mathews, Jr., Wendi (Gary) Frey, William (Kate) Place, Marissa (Thomas) Sitarek, Christina Butcher and great-grandmother of Lucas, Mia, Lucy and Jordyn. Sister of Joseph Zwawa of Key Largo, Fl. Also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday in St. Philip the Apostle Church 950 Losson Road at 10:00 a.m. (please assemble at church) Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. 225 Como Park Blvd. Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Arrangements by MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME.
