James "Jim" A. Sobierajski

James A. Sobierajski, born on August 12, 1943, in Buffalo, New York, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at the Greenfield Health & Rehabilitation Center. He lived a life characterized by dedication, humor, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by his family and friends.

Jim  enjoyed a fulfilling career, dedicating 30 years to Sears, along with owning a liquor store and driving a school bus in Depew. He was not only a diligent worker but also a fixture in his community, known for his great sense of humor and a fun-loving spirit. He had an innate ability to bring joy to those around him, always willing to do anything for anybody. Jim was often heard sharing his favorite quotes, "make good choices" and "don't be stupid," reflections of the wisdom he imparted to those he loved.

A proud Air Force Veteran, Jim's service to his country was a source of pride throughout his life. He was a man of many interests; he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Beverly, exploring destinations such as Las Vegas and North Carolina. His passion for life extended beyond travel. He relished the excitement of working game day merchandise sales for the Buffalo Bills, where he got to embrace his love for sports, and he took great pleasure in the companionship of his dogs, Sadie and Ginger.

Jim’s family was paramount in his life. He is survived by his two sons, Todd (Alysia) Sobierajski and Randy (Susan) Sobierajski, along with his cherished grandchildren, who loving referred to him as Papa, Trevor, Riley, Carter, Ryan, and Avery. His commitment to his family was unwavering, and he took pride in being a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He joins in eternal rest his beloved wife, Beverly, his parents John and Viola, and his brother Ronald. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 19, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY.  Funeral Mass Friday December 20, 2024 at 9:00am at St. Gabriel Church 5217 Clinton St. Elma N.Y. 14059.

Interment Union Cemetery Springbrook

Jim's legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
