February 6, 2018; of Cheektowaga, NY; at the age of 68; Beloved husband of 44 years to Diane M. (nee Mergenhagen) Noetzel. Dearest father of Lisa (Justin) Brocato and Jamie (Michael Oleksy) Noetzel. Dear grandfather of Justin Rex and Amelia Brocato. Brother of the late Richard (Laura) Noetzel and brother-in-law of Richard Mergenhagen and Debra (Eugene) Willard. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday from 2-7 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment St. Matthew Cemetery. James was a Marine Corps veteran, an avid fisherman, golfer, witty storyteller and enjoyed spending time surrounded by family. www.sliwinskifuneralhome.com
