December 31, 2022 age 92 of Lancaster, NY. Beloved husband of 65 years to Myrna (nee Mohart) Vriesen; dearest father of Sandy, Daniel (Susan), Donald (Marianne) and Steven (Judy) Vriesen; dear grandfather of Jeremy (fiancée Anne), Jimm, Charlotte and Ashleigh; great grandfather of Felix; son of the late John W. and Marian (nee Cole) Vriesen; brother of Marian (Ron) Kimball and predeceased by John, Alma and Francis; also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Jan. 9th at Our Lady of Pompeii Church 129 Laverack Ave. Lancaster at 10 AM. Mr. Vriesen served in the US Marine Corps and a retiree of NYSEG with over 40 years of service. Jim loved his family, his farm and his equipment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PVA Paralyzed Veterans of America.
