January 19, 2015 age 77 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved wife of the late Eugene N. Dudek; dearest mother of Gene (late Marcie) and Peter (Lisa) Dudek; dear grandmother of Jessica, Kara, Peter Jr., and Brian; daughter of the late Peter and Anna (nee Makar) Rybka; sister of Ann (Frank) DiStefano, Gerri (Lance) Sherman and the late Rita (late Henry) Wick; sister-in-law of late Frances (late Stanley) Zima, late Edward (late Jenny) Dudek, late Joseph Dudek and the late Wanda (late Alex) Gniewecki; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at Queen of Martyrs Church at 9 AM. Joan was a retired Tax Receiver for the Town of Cheektowaga and was very active in the Democratic Committee. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses.
