May 9, 2017; of Cheektowaga, NY; at the age of 56; Beloved husband of 32 years to Joyce L. (nee Saulter) Henderson. Loving son of Judith (nee Shanks) and the late Robert J. Henderson, Sr. Brother of Robert J. Henderson, Jr., Bonnie (late Raymond) Wantuck and brother-in-law of Joann (Paul) Wagner, Sandy (late Edward) Monica, Butch Saulter, Geraldine (Robert) Weber and the late Wayne Saulter. Also survived by nieces, nephews and his furry companion Parker. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Road) where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. John was a 34 year Army veteran serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
