BOXHORN, JOSEPH F.
Entered into rest on April 19, 2014 of Lancaster, NY; beloved husband of Marilyn D. (nee Meyer). Dearest father of Beverly (Paul) Garland and the late Joseph B. (Deborah Medbury-Boxhorn). Dear grandfather of Ian, Derek, Kenneth, Megan (Eli), Aaron, Max, Zachary; step-grandfather of Michael (Danielle), Sandy (Scott), Paul Robert (Heather); great-grandfather of Mikayla, Nadia and step-great-grandfather of Piper and Paige. Brother of the late Frank (late Ethel), late George (late Betty), late Harold (late Virginia), late Herb (Gloria), late William (Maryann) and the late Louise (late Al) Hartel. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday in St. Gabriel Church 5271 Clinton St., Elma (please assemble at church) at 9:30 a.m. Joe leaves behind a legacy of hard work from a young boy who was not able to finish high school in order to help his parents in their restaurant business to becoming a very successful and respected construction business owner. If you knew him you loved him because he would always make sure you were having a good time. And you better make sure you had a quarter in your pocket, because wherever you are you will be tossing it. Joe was past member of Lancaster and Brookfield Country Clubs. Flowers gratefully declined.
