Kenneth "Ken" R. Hewitt Sr.

Kenneth "Ken" R. Hewitt Sr., a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and love. 

Born on February 4, 1947, Ken graduated from Trott Vocational School and went on to further his education with an undergraduate degree and an MBA from the University at Buffalo. His educational journey was complemented by his dedication to his work, where he earned a reputation as a hard worker committed to excellence. 

Ken met his beloved wife, Mary, during high school, and their bond flourished over the years, culminating in a marriage that lasted 59 years. Together, they built a family that Ken cherished deeply. 

He is survived by his wife Mary, their daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Rich Orcholski, and daughter-in-law Dawn Hewitt. He was proud of his grandchildren Andrea, Caitlin, and her husband Jake Scroggins, Matthew Paolini, John, and Rachael Hewitt, who brought immense joy to his life.

Ken was predeceased by his son, Kenneth R. Hewitt Jr..

In addition to his family life, Ken had a passion for collecting pipes, enjoying the art of smoking them as a delightful pastime. His collection was a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and tradition.

Ken's visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043.

As we remember Kenneth R. Hewitt Sr., we honor a man whose hard work, love for family, and passions touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
