Loretta R. Mineo

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta "Rita" Mineo, a beloved member of our family, who left us on January 15, 2025. Rita was a devoted wife to the late Dominic Mineo and an adoring mother to Cheryl (David Bradybaugh) Van Voorhis.

Rita’s legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler, who were the lights of her life. As a sister, she was deeply loved by Esther (the late Frank) Giafaglione and was predeceased by her other dear siblings: Viola (the late Sam) Capizzi, Rose (the late John) Anzalaco, Joseph Jr. (the late Norma) Sibilio, and Albert (the late Frances) Sibilio. Her strong family ties extended to her nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.

In celebration of her remarkable life, the family invites those who knew and loved Rita to join them for a gathering on Tuesday from 4 PM to 7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd., Depew, NY 14043. A Celebration of Life will take place at 7 PM, allowing all to share their fond memories and stories.

In lieu of flowers, Rita’s family graciously requests that contributions be made in her name, to the Erie County SPCA, honoring her love for animals.

Rita will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
