Marion Schnettler

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marion Schnettler, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marion, who was married to the late Lester J. Schnettler, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Marion was a devoted mother to her three children: JoAnn Kwiatkowski, Catherine (Robert) Markiewicz, and John (the late Deborah) Schnettler. Her love knew no bounds as she embraced her role as grandmother to four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, fostering warmth and joy in their lives.

She is predeceased by her dear siblings, Edward (late Jane), Andrew (late Bernice), Adele (late Raymond), Herbert (late Helen), and Franklin (late Elaine) Hoerner, each of whom she loved deeply. Marion’s kind spirit was also enriched by her relationship with her companion, the late Leo F. Kowalczyk.

Marion's warmth extended to her nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her kindness and laughter.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 4-8 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 11am at Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel. We kindly request that all attendees gather at the chapel for this tribute.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel Preservation Fund, honoring Marion’s spirit of giving.

Marion’s gentle heart and loving spirit will be profoundly missed but will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know her.
