EVERS – Michael J.
February 4, 2022 at the age of 73, passed away suddenly at his Cheektowaga residence. Loving husband of 38 years to Linda (nee Biniecki) Evers; son of the late Edwin and Loraine (nee Smith) Evers; brother of Kathleen (Carl) Janish, late David (Mary Jane) Evers and Brian (Tina) Evers; brother-in-law of the late Debbie Evers; also survived by several nephews, a niece and great nieces and nephews. Mike was the most loving and caring husband. He never went to sleep without giving his wife Linda a hug and kiss and telling her “I Love You”. He was a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder since 1994. He also loved to travel, especially to Disney World. Other places he visited include Garfield Conventions, D-Day beaches of Normandy, many European countries, casinos of CT, 3 Olympics, 2 Bills Superbowls and 49 of the United States. Mike was a Vietnam War Navy Veteran and served from 1969-1973 with training in the Lab. He retired from the Buffalo VA Hospital after 30 years as a Medical Lab Technologist. It was in the Blood Bank at the VA that Mike and Linda met and he became the love of her life. He also worked as an usher for the Buffalo Bisons since 2000. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends Wednesday and Thursday from 4-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Josaphat’s Church (William and Peoria, Cheektowaga) at 10 AM (Please assemble at Church) Interment to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
