June 16, 2020 age 77 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of 57 years to Carolyn (nee Burst) Hockwater; dearest father of Paul Jr. (Karen), Michael Hockwater (Susan Michalec) and Susan Czech (Ken Benthien); loving grandpa of Paul III, Matthew, Michael John, Jenna, Danielle, Adam and Gabrielle; son of the late Frank and Lorraine (nee Fischer) Hockwater; brother of the late Thomas (Carol) Hockwater; brother-in-law of Janet (Charles) Welch; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday June 19 from 4-8 PM from at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) where a prayer service will be held at 8 PM. Flowers gratefully declined. Mr. Hockwater was a proud member of Forks Hose Co. #2 for over 56 years and presently served as Commissioner since 1973; he was a member of Forks Exempt Assoc and a charter member of Forks Sportsman Club. Paul loved his family and serving people in his community through the fire department.
