McDonough - Paul “Guy”
East Amherst, NY, age 57, passed away on July 14, 2022. He faced cancer with dignity and courage. Paul was the son of Patrick and Patricia McDonough. Paul graduated from Maryvale High School in 1983. Always a worker, Paul was hired at 15 years old at the Buffalo Airport, eventually beginning his career in 1987 with American Airlines. Paul was proud of his time as Union President. Paul loved his family, friends and Buffalo. Paul was an avid Bills fan. We are saddened he didn’t live to see the Superbowl win, as this “could be their year”. He also loved the growth and revitalization of Buffalo, and knew the history of the old neighborhoods. Paul was most happy when helping family and friends. He loved having his pickup truck, so he could help whoever needed a hand. Paul leaves behind his heartbroken siblings; Kathleen McDonough, Mike McDonough and Mary (Duncan) Leach, nieces and nephews Gavin Leach, Katie Leach, Michael McDonough and Mandy McDonough. He was also blessed with a host of loving and supportive friends throughout his life. The family would like to thank Roswell for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, and in light of Paul’s love of animals, donations to the Buffalo Zoo or other animal shelters are appreciated.
