Peacefully surrounded by his family on July 5, 2021 of Lancaster, NY at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma. Beloved husband of Teresa A. (nee Kushner) Benzin; dearest father of Andrew (Jacqueline), Marissa (Joshua) Strzelec and Alaina (Nicholas); dear grandfather of Maverick and Juliana; son of June (nee Wind) and the late William Benzin; brother of William (Amy) Benzin Jr., Michael (Vickie) Benzin, Thomas (Jamie) Benzin and Nancy (Michael) Johns; son in law of Anthony and Mary Ann Kushner; brother in law of Cynthia (David) Carter, Christine (Thomas) Murphy and Mary Beth (David) Baldo, also survived by many adored nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends Monday, July 12th from 4-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd., Depew) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church 1 St. Marys Hill, Lancaster at 9:30 AM. Mr. Benzin was in the food sales industry and formerly employed at Federal Meats.
