LEWANDOWSKI - Raymond S.
May 8, 2014 at the age of 69. Born in Manchester, Ga. he was the beloved son of the late Sara (nee Chapman) and Raymond J. Lewandowski; dearest father of Michael (Ann) Lewandowski of Sarasota, Fl. "Cool Wray" known by his friends, was a retired auto worker from General Motors working at the Delavan plant, and then at the Tonawanda Engine Plant. He was a blues drummer in WNY bands in the 60's, 70's, & 80's most popular being The Steel City Blues Band. He also was a semi-pro football player for the Lackawanna Lancers and raced cars at the Niagara Speedway. Ray also loved movies, fishing, trains (railroad), sports, and motorcycles and was a big New York Jets fan. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday from 9 AM - 1 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held at 1 PM. Interment to follow in St. Matthew Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at
