February 21, 2018 age 85 of South Wales, NY formerly of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of the late Mary H. (nee Kaminski) Koszuta; dearest father of Jackie (Michael) Bogdan, Karen (late Michael) Hummel and Susan (Sheriff Timothy B.) Howard; loving grandfather of six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brother of Eleanor Urbanczyk and the late Leonard Koszuta; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends Saturday and Sunday from 3-7 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) where prayers will be said on Monday at 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church at 10:30 AM. Entombment to follow in St. Matthew Cemetery. Mr. Koszuta was a retiree of the Town of Cheektowaga as a master mechanic in the police garage with over 35 years of service, past Fire Commissioner and exempt member with Pine Hill Hose Co. 5 and a Reserve Deputy with the Erie County Sheriff Snowmobile Unit.
