October 9, 2016, age 85, longtime resident of Cheektowaga, NY; beloved husband to the late Theresa C. (née Perry) Sliwinski; loving father of Carol, Paul and Donna Sliwinski; grandfather to Amy, Julie, Ryan, Rachel and Emily Sliwinski; brother of the late Edward Sliwinski; also survived by his sister Martha Burr; as well as many nieces and nephews. Our father quietly passed away on Sunday October 9, 2016 following a long period of declining health. He was a man of deep faith, gratitude, quick wit and humor. Dad relied on Jesus for his strength and chose daily to walk in thankfulness. His quick wit and humor will be deeply cherished and very much missed, but we will smile when we remember... In honor of our father's request there will be a private gathering attended by his children and grandchildren to acknowledge his passing. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.
