BOROWSKI, RITA R. (nee Budzinski)
January 11, 2015; of Cheektowaga, NY; Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Borowski. Loving mother of Joseph (late Linda Garlock), Lawrence (Patricia), David (Kerry Cadden), Diane, Daniel (Teri), William (Maryann), Susan (Michael) Kelm and Michael. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Sister of the late John (late Mary), Mary (late Casimer) Kulig, Thomas, Sophie (late Max Florkowski) and Constance (late Arthur) Borowski. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Road) where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and from Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Entombment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family was most important to Rita, and her extended family included whole neighborhoods and all of her children's friends. She will be remembered as a kind, loving, generous mother and grandmother who faced any challenges with faith, love, and resiliency. Rita was a hairdresser by trade who owned her own businesses, Rita's Beauty Shoppe in Buffalo and Shear Pleasure in Gowanda, and served many loyal and happy customers throughout her life. She was instrumental in reviving the annual Borowski-Budzinski Family Picnic that continues to this day to draw family together through four generations. Rita enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, playing the lottery and throwing a party. She will be dearly missed by anyone that knew her. Flowers gratefully declined.
