January 2, 2014 of Cheektowaga, NY, beloved husband of 50 years to Christine (nee Pawlaczyk) Bierzynski; loving father of Kim Marie Raczyk, Michelle (Kevin) Buchholz, Sandra (David) Jakubowski, Sheryl (Mike) Klaffka and Tammy (Kenny) Lis ; grandfather of Robert, Carly, Jessica, Matthew, April, Alyssa, Lindsay, Blake and Jenna; loving son of Helen (nee Matysiak) and the late Joseph Bierzynski; dearest brother of Joan Alba and Debbie (Jim) Hart; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Andrews Church, Sloan (please assemble at Church). Robert (Bobby B) was a special man born and raised in Buffalo. He lived life to the fullest, so that he could create a life he truly wanted…FAMILY!

God saw that he was getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him

With Tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
