MARKIEWICZ– Roberta W. “Bobbie”
October 6, 1927 – September 12, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Markiewicz Sr.; loving mom to Daniel J Jr. (Diane Taber Markiewicz), Joanne (Karen Oberrath), and David (Molly Markiewicz); adoring grandmother to Clarissa, David Jr. and Michelina; and great-grandmother to William and Maddox. Bobbie was an extraordinary and special friend to Ken Roetzer, the Roetzer, Jurek, and Floyd families, and to Father Conrad and Father Richard. Her extended family included many parishioners from Our Lady Help of Christians, along with friends from the Town of Cheektowaga. Bobbie's real passion was that of being a helper through her chaplaincy. She loved the interactions with the patients from Kaleida Health - Buffalo General, but she maintained a special bond with the staff at the hospital. Her love was deep, and she often spoke of many special friends who touched her soul and made her spirit come alive. Family and friends are invited to assemble for a Memorial Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians Church (Union Rd & Genesee St. Cheektowaga) on Wednesday (Sept. 16th) at 11 AM.
