March 8, 2015 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of Pauline E. (nee Grace) (late Anthony) Okon and the late Doris P. (nee Biniszkiewicz) Okon; dear father of Marc (Lorraine) Okon; step-father of Kathy (David) Perry; dear grandfather of Ted, Emily, Marc Okon, David and Eric Perry, Jennifer (Bruce) Chrosniak and Jeremy (Michelle) Kladke. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday 4-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 AM and from Queen of Martyrs Church at 9 AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Mr. Okon was an Army Veteran of WW II, member of Pvt. Leonard Post VFW #6251 and was a volunteer firefighter with Rescue Hose Co. No.1 joining in 1958 and serving as chief from 1976-1981.
