Due to his friendship with Bill W., Walter was able to have the serenity to accept the things he could not change, the courage to change the things he could, and the wisdom to know the difference. As a result he has positively affected the future of his son and two granddaughters, who are so very proud of his guidance. Due to his friendship with Bill W., Walter was able to find a loving partner in Patricia Norek, a loving step-mom and step-grandmother to Walter’s family. He is survived by his son Mark Stevens, two lovely granddaughters, Bailey and Maddie Stevens, Dick Norek his special friend and also a sister Ida (nee Siatkowski) Drozdowski. There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Tuesday in Resurrection Church (Union Rd. and Como Park Blvd.) at 10 AM.
