February 4, 2017; of Cheektowaga, NY; Beloved husband of Arlene K. (nee Schenk) Schweitzer. Dearest father of Shirley (Paul) Bestehorn, Nancy (Robert) Hutchison, James (Karen) Schweitzer, Carole (Chip) Stickels and the late William J. and Barbara Schweitzer. Dear grandfather of Michelle (Varun) Lumba, Andrew, Jonathan and Tucker. Brother of the late Jerome (late Mary) Schweitzer. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday 3-7 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday in Queen of Martyrs Church at 9:00 a.m. (please assemble at church) Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. William was a member of the United Commercial Food Workers Local #1. Flowers gratefully declined.
