May 25, 2012 of West Seneca, NY Beloved husband of Jeanette (nee Witman) Swartz; dearest father of Jeanne Thompson, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Stewart, Christie (Thomas) Allen and step-father of Melissa (Mark) Sacco; dear grandfather of eleven grandchildren; son of William J. and Mary A. (nee Mertes) Swartz; brother of Robert (late MaryAnne) Swartz, Patricia (John) Erisman and Marie Swartz; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. and from St. John Vianney Church at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. Bill retired with the NYS Dept. of Labor after 30 years of service as a Career Counselor. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to either Roswell Park Cancer Institute PO Box 631 Buffalo, New York 14240 or Hospice Buffalo 225 Como Park Blvd. Cheektowaga, NY 14227
